The VT Al-Anon/Alateen Convention will be held this year in Burlington on July 21-23 at the Bishop Booth Conference Center, 20 Rock Point Rd.
Note: the start and end times are not flexible — there’s a summer camp that runs directly before and after our convention — so plan on arriving no earlier than 6 pm Friday and leaving no later than 11 am Sunday.
Best to register ahead for your meals — that helps us plan for meals, and there will be only a limited number of meal tickets available for purchase on site. Your name tag will indicate the meals for which you’ve prepaid.
You are welcome to bring your own food and eat it anywhere on the premises, including meeting rooms. Snacks and beverages will be available in the Hospitality Lounge, and you are welcome to contribute to the offerings. (Gluten- and dairy-free labeled items will be especially appreciated.)
Beds are provided with sheets and towels. Bathrooms are shared, dormitory style. Rooms have screens, but no air conditioners or refrigerators. WiFi reception is available.
What to Bring
Ventilation should be pleasant on the waterfront, but consider bringing a small fan. Other useful items: light! (flashlight), bug spray, swim suit, camp chair, mug, swimming and hiking shoes, yoga mat.
On-site parking is limited, and car pooling is strongly urged. You may park on-site overnight Friday but will be asked to move your car to the Burlington High School parking lot Saturday morning to allow space for those with mobility challenges. We’ll be providing limited shuttle service Saturday morning.
Groups are invited to bring gift baskets to raffle off — see the details here.
