ALATEEN MEETINGS
Face-to-face Alateen meetings in Vermont are temporarily cancelled, but Alateens can now attend virtual meetings — check out when and how!
And Alateens are welcome at all Al-Anon meetings.
INVITATION TO SERVE
Come share the joy of fellowship and service at the Area level. Positions will be opening up on the VT Area committee for the 2022-2024 term, with training and support from outgoing members. Curious? Learn more about Area-level service.
NEED FUNDING?
Do you have an idea for supporting Al-Anon and Alateen in the Vermont Area but would need funding to carry it out? Put in a request using the Special Projects Request Form!
HOW TO GET THE WORD OUT?
1) Post our flyers on community bulletin boards:
> new posters about Al-Anon and Alateen
> posters with tear-off contact info (or without tear-offs)
> posters addressing specific relationships affected by someone else’s drinking (parents of, children of, or relatives/friends of)
2) Submit our press release, approved by the WSO, to your local news media.
3) Spread the word about children of alcoholics
“Plan special speaker meetings focusing on children of alcoholics, reach out to local community support agencies about how Al‑Anon can help, or provide Al‑Anon speakers for educational meetings held at institutions, facilities, or schools. Individual members can also participate by sharing WSO content on social media. Let’s do all we can to let anyone who has been affected by parental alcoholism know that Al‑Anon and Alateen can make a difference.” Reprinted with permission of The Forum, Al‑Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc., Virginia Beach, VA.
