    The time remains unchanged: 9am, immediately following the 8am Al-Anon meeting. Note: in July and September, the District meeting will be moved to the second Sunday of the month because of national holidays.

    The purpose of District meetings is to unite and inform local groups, to hear reports and discuss District matters which may affect not only our local groups but Al-Anon as a whole. The GR is a vital link in the continuing function, growth and unity of Al-Anon worldwide.

    Vermont Area Assemblies
    To ensure that your group’s voice is heard at the Vermont Area level, be sure to have someone who regularly attends your meeting – a GR or Alternate – participate in the semi-annual Vermont Area Assemblies. Note: Al-Anon members who are also AA members are not eligible to serve as GR or Alternate GR.

    Maine Al-Anon Convention

    The Maine Al-Anon 2021 Convention will be held this year on August 13-15. You can register to attend in person, with Covid-19 safety precautions in place, or online via Zoom. For details, see the event website.

    Dist. 4 Annual Picnic @ Sand Bar State Park
    Aug 14 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

    District 4 will be holding its annual picnic at Sand Bar State Park on Saturday, August 14th, rain or shine, 10 am – 3 pm. (Set-up help at 10 am would be appreciated.) Family and friends are welcome. Look for AFG signs – a triangle with a circle inside – and see the flyer for all the details!

    Certain park visitors are eligible for a free park pass. According to vtstateparks.com, if you are a VT resident and 62+ years old or a VT resident and an honorably-discharged veteran, you are eligible for a “Green Mountain Passport” – a lifetime day-entry pass into VT parks.     All are welcome at District 6’s annual Spiritual Day on Saturday, September 11, 9:00-1:30. The event will be held at the Pittsford Rec Center Pavilion, 223 Recreation Area Rd., Pittsford, VT.

    Come for fellowship, speaker, prayer, workshop, gentle moving meditation, and raffle basket. Bring your own refreshments to enjoy at the picnic tables under a covered pavilion near a lovely pond and trails. Rain or shine.

    Representatives of Al-Anon groups from across the Vermont Area gather twice a year to conduct Area-wide business and enjoy workshops and fellowship.

    This year’s Fall Assembly will be held both in person and online on Saturday, October 16th (location and times TBD). See the advance flyer for the program overview, and come back to this page later for details.
