    District Meetings
    District 7 (Bennington County) holds District meetings on the first Sunday of the month at 9:00 am, immediately following the 8:00 am Al-Anon meeting at the Wilson House, 378 Village St., East Dorset, VT.

    Group Representatives (GRs) and other interested Al-Anon members are all welcome to attend. Come see how service in Al-Anon can further your recovery!

    The purpose of District meetings is to unite and inform local groups, to hear reports and discuss District matters which may affect not only our local groups but Al-Anon as a whole. The GR is a vital link in the continuing function, growth and unity of Al-Anon worldwide.

    Vermont Area Assemblies
    To ensure that your group’s voice is heard at the Vermont Area level, be sure to have someone who regularly attends your meeting – a GR or Alternate – participate in the semi-annual Vermont Area Assemblies. Note: Al-Anon members who are also AA members are not eligible to serve as GR or Alternate GR.

    The Area World Service Committee (AWSC), consisting of Vermont Area officers, coordinators, and District Representatives, gathers once a month to discuss Area-wide issues, prepare recommendations for the semi-annual Assembly of group representatives, and conduct routine Area business.

    Al-Anon Participation in AA Round-Up @ New London, NH
    Feb 15 @ 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm

    Al-Anon will be holding meetings throughout the day (1:00-10:00 pm) at the AA Round-Up in New London, New Hampshire, on Saturday, February 15. The event will be held at the First Baptist Church, 461 Main St., New London, NH.

    Al-Anon will also be providing a speaker for the evening speaker meeting at 6:00 pm. See the flyer for all the details!

    AA Convention w/Al-Anon Participation @ Manchester Equinox Resort

    Al-Anon will be holding four meetings at the Vermont AA Convention on the weekend of April 3-5 at the Equinox Resort, 3567 Main St., Manchester Center, VT. Details about the Al-Anon meetings will be posted as soon as they’re available.

    Mass. Al-Anon Convention @ Framingham, MA

    All are welcome to the 44th Annual Massachusetts Al-Anon Convention, with Alateen and AA participation, on the weekend of April 3-5, 2020.  The event will be held at the Framingham Sheraton, 1657 Worcester Road. Registration information will be posted on the MA Al-Anon/Alateen website as soon as it becomes available.

    The theme of the Convention this year will be “Celebrate Recovery.”

    Pioneer Day @ Wilson House
    May 3 @ 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

    Join District 7 in honoring Al-Anon’s co-founder Lois Wilson at the Wilson House in East Dorset, VT, on Sunday, May 3rd. The memorial will start at Lois’s graveside at 11:30 am, followed by a pot luck lunch at 12:30 and a speaker meeting at 1:30 pm.

    Representatives of Al-Anon groups from across the Vermont Area gather twice a year to conduct Area-wide business and enjoy workshops and fellowship.

    This year’s Spring Assembly will be hosted by District 3 on Saturday, May 16th, 9:00-3:30. Details will be posted as soon as they become available.
