Since its founding in 1951, Al‑Anon has published more than 100 books and pamphlets that share a single purpose: to help family and friends recover from the effects of someone else’s drinking.
This literature supplements the face-to-face meetings where Al‑Anon members share their insights and experiences with each other. Al‑Anon/Alateen literature is most fully understood when used in conjunction with other tools of the program. The books and pamphlets can strengthen your recovery, but they cannot substitute for the help and healing that takes place at Al‑Anon meetings in the context of a complete recovery program.
A new daily reader is now under development to show the diversity of the current Al-Anon fellowship. If you’d like to contribute, take a look at the directions here, and submit your writing by June 1, 2020.
A selection of literature is available at many Al-Anon meetings; the complete selection is shown on this order form. You can find descriptions at Al-Anon’s on-line store, but to expedite your order, order locally: write to Vermont.AFGliterature@gmail.com or call Marge at 802-476-6911.
Payment can be made either by check, payable to Literature Depot and sent to:
P.O. Box 916
Barre, VT 05641
or by credit card (by phone or by filling out the last page of the order form and mailing it to the above address).
