Group Records

This information is about the process of making changes to groups in the Vermont area and for new groups who would like to join  the Vermont area. Vermont is Area 56 in the World Service Office (WSO) records.

Notify The Area Records Coordinator Of Group Changes

pencil and paperPlease submit group changes including group location, zoom information, group name to the Group Records Coordinator by emailing grouprecords@vermontalanonalateen.org.

Include the group name, district of group and WSO ID number.  Your group’s information is listed on the al-anon.org website and includes the group’s WSO ID number. Find your group in the Al-Anon Meeting Search.

Register New Groups Directly With WSO

To register a new group, register through WSO directly.

  • Visit New Al-Anon Group Registration. Click New Group Al-Anon Registration if your new group has a physical location. You choose this option even if you new group will be hybrid, meeting in-person and virtually.
  • Visit New Al-Anon Group Registration. Click Electronic Group Registration if your new group will be registering as a permanent electronic group (PEG).

About The Group Records Process

A group may be part of the Vermont area whether it is in-person, hybrid or virtual through the appropriate registration process. Vermont adopted guidelines for permanent electronic groups that request to become part of the Vermont Area. See the VT PEG Motion and guidelines.

Our area group records coordinator processes group changes by updating the WSO database. The group records coordinator also receives notifications of new group registrations.

The area group records coordinator notifies the area website coordinator to update the website meetings listed. They also notify the Meeting List Coordinator who updates the electronic printable meeting list. Learn more by visiting Group Registration Frequently Asked Questions.
